Phew. So after three days of touring the state, I've returned (exhausted) with plenty of new kitty stock. Yeah, I'm not professional, but there are some really photogenic animals down south. Including the baby jaguar.

The what? Yeah. He's three months old and finally open for photographers. I had a sit-in with the little guy and his not-so-little mama today. Absolutely amazing cub, and not shy in the least! I was also lucky at the public zoo with their two jaguars... They seem to be fancying me lately.

The kit foxes at my public zoo also had their litter while I was away. Two rambunctious parents and three crackhead kits– if that's not the right word for bouncing off the walls, then correct me. Nevertheless the little demons are certainly adorable. Lots of cute pictures for all of our kit-fox lovers!

No lions, no bobcats, no lynx (yet!), and no grey wolves. But, there are plenty of red wolves.
Alright, so only 5,  but that's fortunate considering they are extinct in the wild. You don't know how many people told their kids to "look at that fox!" or "Yuck, a coyote!" when they saw the wolves. God I wanted to slap those idiots. The ones who were semi-intelligent at least got it through to their kids that the "fox" was actually a dog. Wait, let's read the sign.
OK, it's a wolf. The children then proceed to scream at the top of their lungs and howl at the poor dears, who, after a long day of harassment, are just trying to get some peace and quiet. The kids literally "scared the poop" out of the wolves.
It goes without saying that I have fewer action shots than last time. Of course, you won't know that since most of the shots were terrible last time (and thus they weren't uploaded). So, ehm, along with a month-or-so more of practice, there are more shots this time.

If I can manage the travel next weekend, I'm planning to check-up on our jaguar cub and see what more havoc he can wreak on mama. He's such an adorable daredevil.

That's it as far as mammals go. I got a load of nice shots of hawks, eagles, owls, and falcons, too. I've still held off on going to the "raptor rescue center" (also home to lynx and fox) because my bitch-of-a-classmate volunteers there, and it would put rain on my day to run into her. She would probably toss mud on my camera anyway, if not on my face first. Since, as we all know, she's so attractive. LOL, too much sarcasm on a worknight.

That's all folks. I hope you enjoy, and don't forget to check out some of my recent manipulations.
:iconwincey: and :iconlakela: do such a good job of providing photos of the arctic wolves. Particularly the one I've chosen as my character,  Devehn Gray.  Arctics don't do so well on the sandy beaches down here. :D Thanks!
